which kid is on my shoulders?

well, brooke and i were in walmart the other day and like any good dad, i was attempting to keep my kids from being "that kid" in the store. so for a while i had my son silas up on my shoulders. we wandered around for a few minutes and then returned to brooke and elle at the shopping cart at which point elle wanted a ride. so i picked her up and we went looking around. a few isles over i bumped into a couple that i hadn't seen in at least a year. they had a small boy who looked about the same age as silas. well i began asking them about their life a little bit and then about their boy. after hearing that he was about nine months old proceded to tell them that my son (who i referenced was on my shoulders) was about 10 months old. i then went on telling them about silas and then leaned over so the two boys could see each other a little closer. after we parted ways i went searching for brooke. as i approached the shopping cart i looked inside and saw silas smiling back at me! i took my hand off the leg i was holding and saw elle's pink shoes. i'd forgotten which kid was on my shoulders. feeling completely stupid, i went back and told the couple my mistake and of course they were gracious about it. just thought i'd let everyone know, that two kids can get pretty confusing sometimes, and i guess i'm officially losing my mind.

That's a really great story! And the energy drain that comes from preventing kids from being "that kid" in Walmart is extremely difficult!
