Hair Tie

Monday, November 24, 2008
This morning as I got the kids ready for the day, I picked out their outfits and asked them to dress themselves. The look Elle gave me said, "you know those pants don't fit me anymore". But i personally love them and can't give them up. She put the entire outfit on and said,"mom these are to tight on my belly". I took a close look...sure enough they would hardly button. I saw a light bulb go off in Elles mind...she ran to my bathroom. By the time i caught up with her she had unbuttoned her pants...taken one of my hair ties and looped it through the button hole and around the button. She was only mimicking me...all the prego days where my jeans don't fit...the hair tie trick is a life saver.
What a funny and smart little cracker jack. After a good long laugh, I agreed with her it was definitely time to retire those pants.

Coldplay

Saturday, November 15, 2008

wow...one more of my lifelong dreams is checked off my list...seeing Coldplay in concert last night was incredible! easily the best show that i've ever been to. i could give lots of reviews on the venue and the band and their song choices, etc. but i'd rather just say, it was perfect...seats, music, entertaiment...perfect!

"I got elle and silas ice cream cones on our way home [from chick-fil-a]. Maye was becoming really fussy. So i asked elle to please help her. Suddenly maye was better. Awesome! When we got home elle said...'mom, maye really likes ice cream too!'"

climbing the tree

Wednesday, November 05, 2008
so, one of my brides came by today to discuss her wedding. as soon as the front door opened, elle and silas flew outside. i noticed them playing in the front yard...admiring the leaves on the ground. as i walked the bride outside...my eyes almost popped out of my head. i had two options...either get scared...or go get my camera. look at these monkeys!
