don't cry over spilled milk...

just a large can of paint that was spilled in our driveway this morning! as brooke was getting her tripod out of the car this morning, a
borrowed can of paint fell out and exploded on our driveway. as i sat there watching my wife leave for a photoshoot, i turned and looked at my three kids who were promised to go to the donut shop and then looked and the paint creeping down towards the street...what's a dad supposed to do?

well, i grabbed a paper plate and began scooping large amounts of paint up and just dumping them back in the can. when i got about as much as i could up, i went to the paper towels. after sopping up what i could then, it was hot soapy water time. i tried scrubbing with a dish scrubber but destroyed it in about 90 seconds. i called Windy for a metal scrubber, but she just suggested a grill cleaner. so for the next hour or so, i had three kids outside with dad scrubbing, scraping, wiping up the brownish/red paint from our driveway. i gave up trying to keep Maye out of water after about 5 minutes and we just put on a smile and cleaned up our driveway. the kids were a good help watching little sister and getting their scrub on. as macy crossland would say, "this is my life. i can't make this stuff up!"
